Engineering Manager H/F

At Fabriq, we're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Enterprise team.

Full-time · Paris 10

Fabriq is looking for a Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise BU, the team that makes Fabriq usable at very large scale by our biggest industrial customers : Plant Managers, OpEx Directors, COOs of multi-site organizations.

The Enterprise BU's mission is to help manufacturing organizations deploy Fabriq at scale, so they can standardize and improve their operational excellence practices across all their sites.

You will own the engineering side of the BU: 4 senior product engineers (3 already in place and 2 you will hire), a strong PM partner, and a roadmap focused on serious scaling challenges (multi-tenant, performance at scale, dashboards on aggregated data, data migrations, governance, on-prem).

You will replace Bertrand, our VP of Engineering, who has been holding this role on top of his other responsibilities.

This is a Product engineering role: there is no dedicated product designer in the BU. You and the PM design the solutions together. The engineers you manage are senior & autonomous, you are here to raise the bar and unlock scale.

Expect a 50/50 split:

  • ≈ 50% management : 1:1s, career, performance, hiring (you will run the 2 hires), delivery rituals, monthly cycles, capacity planning, weekly sync with the other EMs.

  • ≈ 50% tech : code review, architecture review, doc review, technical backup on hard problems. Not coding daily, but capable of going deep when it matters.

Working conditions

  • You must be able to work fluently in English (international customers).

  • You must be comfortable working with your team remotely.

  • All team meetings happen on Gather (virtual office), with a daily every morning.

  • Monthly cycles, no sprints, very strong pair programming culture, knowledge sharing is a core team value.

  • 7 weeks of vacation per year.

  • Health insurance with Alan.

  • Meal voucher with Swile.

  • A company event every quarter, an offsite every year.

  • Referral bonus.

Tech stack you'll back up

  • Back-end: REST API historically Django, new code in Deno (TypeScript). Database AWS Aurora (Postgres). Drizzle as a lightweight ORM on Deno. Honeycomb + Sentry to understand what happens at scale.

  • Front-end: Vue.js single-page app, partially in TypeScript (we migrate as we go). Mobile app in Vue.js + Capacitor. Continuous deployment via Cloudflare Pages, with preview URLs on every PR.

  • Infrastructure: containers on AWS (ECS / Fargate today, EKS in the future), entirely Terraformed via CDKTF in TypeScript. A small set of customers run on dedicated infrastructure.

  • Coding style: TypeScript inspired by data-oriented programming.

Ideal Profile

Engineering management maturity

You have managed an engineering team of product engineers/software engineers for at least 2 years.

You are at ease with the full management toolkit: career conversations, performance management, structured 1:1s, feedback culture, conflict resolution. You have already managed people who are technically stronger than you on their domain and you know how to give them feedback that actually helps.

You have hired engineers : interviewing, closing.

You have been close to a Product Manager before not in a service relationship, but as a true partner. You enjoy designing solutions together, arbitrating tech versus product, owning the roadmap as a duo.

Technical foundations still alive

You are a senior engineer who chose management. You can still walk into a code review and add real value.

To apply for this role, you must have:

  • Experience as a software engineer (full-stack ideally), with the ability to read, review, and reason about systems.

  • A strong mastery of software engineering fundamentals (architecture, performance, scalability, testing, reliability) with a real understanding of what scaling pain looks like in production.

  • A pragmatic balance between technical depth and shipping reality.

  • A interest in code quality as a prerequisite for sustainable speed.

  • Experience with software craftsmanship practices (TDD, DDD, Extreme Programming, etc.) is a plus.

Bonus points for:

  • Multi-tenant SaaS at enterprise scale.

  • Performance engineering, large data migrations, API at scale.

Soft skills & mindset

  • You are not a micromanager. You trust senior people and unlock them.

  • You are comfortable in remote-first environments and you don't need everyone in the same room to lead.

  • You are highly curious and constantly learning.

  • You are autonomous, self-driven, and comfortable operating with limited guidance.

  • You are able to question yourself, accept feedback, and continuously improve your approach.

  • You enjoy collaborating and helping improve the way a team works.

AI as a core skill

We see AI as a force multiplier for software craftsmanship and team performance: faster feedback loops, accelerated learning, higher bar on code quality and decision-making.

We are looking for an EM who:

  • Is more than comfortable with AI tools and uses them daily.

  • Is enthusiastic about AI and curious about its fast-evolving capabilities.

  • Has already understood how AI can improve productivity, code quality, problem-solving, and decision-making within a team.

  • Wants to stay at the forefront of how AI is transforming software engineering management.

About Fabriq

Fabriq is the leading SaaS platform digitalizing lean management on the shopfloor. • 600+ industrial sites in 43 countries : Safran, Airbus, Renault, Scania, LVMH, Andros, Bel, Merck, Lonza…

  • ≈110 collaborators : founded in 2019 by Octave Lapeyronie and François Déchelette.

  • Series B 22M€ raised in June 2025 with Expedition Capital and OSS Ventures => to scale internationally (US, UK, DACH).

  • Profitable end of 2024, ARR target 50M€ by 2029.

  • Ambition: become the Operating System of production floors, with an AI roadmap to empower frontline teams.

If the Enterprise BU lights you up, if scaling a B2B SaaS for the world's largest industrial customers, with a senior team and a strong PM partner, sounds like the right next step : we'd love to talk.
