Operational Excellence Team Lead

About the role

As Operational Excellence Team Lead, your role is to build and lead a new team of Operational Excellence consultants, helping our clients accelerate and sustain their lean journey — ensuring a sustainable adoption of Fabriq.

You will work closely with other customer-facing departments and be a key internal reference for all lean and shopfloor performance topics.

Missions

🚀 Build and lead an Opex team

  • Define the vision and operating model of the Operational Excellence team

  • Recruit and coach a team of Opex consultants over time

  • Build internal frameworks and playbooks to scale lean support across clients

💡 Act as the lean reference for our customers

  • Support the sales team during the pre-sales phase to help them better guide and bring more value to prospects during the pilot project scoping phase

  • Support the Implementation and Customer Success teams in their capacity to ensure the most valuable experience for the customer

  • Facilitate workshops on problem-solving, standard work, visual management, and team rituals to help our customers improve their lean culture

🧭 Foster lean expertise across Fabriq

  • Help Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success teams increase their knowledge on lean principles

  • Challenge Product team on their vision: new features, lean modules, use case structuring

  • Create high-value content with Marketing team: playbooks, templates, training materials, webinars

Profile & Requirements

Experience

  • 10/12+ years in an industrial environment with a proven track record in lean deployment or continuous improvement. Black belt certification is a strong plus

  • Background in consulting is a plus, but hands-on field experience is essential

  • Strong experience with lean rituals and tools: Gemba, A3, visual management, 5S, PDCA, kaizen events, tiered meetings, etc.

  • Prior experience in coaching or training operational teams

  • Engineering master

Skills

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills

  • Ability to adapt lean methods to different operational realities and maturity levels

  • Analytical, pragmatic, and impact-oriented

  • Able to structure frameworks and scalable methodologies

Other

  • Fluent in French and English

  • Based in Paris (hybrid work model)

  • Willing to travel occasionally to client sites (~30–40%)

Hiring process

  • First round: A 30-minutes screening call with Justine

  • Second round: A 30-minutes interview with Charles-Henri (COO)

  • Third round: A 30-minutes interview with Charles-Henri (Co-founder)

  • Fourth round: A 1-hour business case with Charles-Henri and François

  • Fifth round: Half day at the office to meet other team members and Octave (Co-founder)
